A Tony Awards nomination for Daniel! He is nominated for the Best Featured Actor in a Musical category for his role as Chaley in Merrily We Roll Along. "Merrily" has a total of seven nominations including Best Musical Revival. Congrats!

The awards ceremony will take place on 16th June.

Daniel's reaction?

"Hugely excited and honored. I'm so proud of the show that we do, and the work that we all do in it. For all three of us to be nominated, and for the show to be nominated, and [director] Maria [Friedman], it all feels incredibly special. It's an honor to be nominated alongside everybody else in my category. For our show to be nominated alongside all these other shows, it's going to be a very excited day in the theatre today." Yesterday you could follow the Outer Critics Circle award nominations announcement live, via the video below on this post. Daniel announced the nominations together with Merrily We Roll Along co-stars Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez at the Museum of Broadway. Photos have now also appeared online and I have added those. There's also a photo posted by Richard Ridge. Full list of nominees is available at broadwayword.com.

The winners will be announced on 13th May and the awards ceremony will be held on 23rd May.

Update: 25th April 2024. While being at the museum Daniel posed with his "How to Succeed" suit which is on display there.

Daniel was a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert yesterday promoting Merrily We Roll Along. Just announced. Daniel will announce the nominations for the Outer Critics Circle Awards together with Merrily We Roll Along co-stars Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez. The event takes place on 23rd April. All three of them were nominees last season for their role in "Merrily" (but Daniel did not win). It will be livestreamed at broadwayworld.com, 3:30 PM ET.

A site update since it was about time. I have a new e-mail address for the website. After the URL change in 2019 I didn't change the e-mail address even though the site itself switched to .nl. Recently the .tk domains seemed to have been vanished basically, mine stopped working so I had to set up something new.
