2023 Emmy Awards nomination for Daniel Radcliffe

Great news! Daniel is nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie category for his role as Al in WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story at the Emmy Awards. Also the biopic itself has eight nominations in total. Congratulations!

 
The 2023 Emmy Awards show takes place on 18th September at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT  January 2024 (edit August 2023) and can be seen on Fox. Variety.com and nytimes.com have posted new interviews with Daniel.

Daniel's reaction via Variety:

Great! I found out about it because I got a text from Eric [Appel] who just said, “Oh, congratulations on the nomination.” And then I was able to text him back a few minutes later and go, “Congratulations on your nomination.”

and on the potential actors strike (more via vanityfair.com):

"It seems like it feels very necessary...I’m ready, and these [Emmy] interviews will probably be my last professional act for a little while."
