Cinescape: 20 years of Harry Potter

In celebration of Harry Potter's 20th anniversary Cinescape has uploaded a video featuring interviews with the cast throughout the years. It includes footage from the Prisoner of Azkaban New York premiere (2004), the Order of the Phoenix London premiere (2007) and press junkets.

What I haven't seen before is the footage from the Prisoner of Azkaban premiere.

In Shownieuws werd gisteren gepraat over 20 jaar Harry Potter. Want mocht je het gemist hebben, de eerste film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (in het Nederlands: Harry Potter en de Steen der Wijzen) kwam uit in november 2001. In de uitzending zaten fragmenten van interviews met Daniel waaronder een korte clip van de Chamber of Secrets Londen première die ik nog niet eerder gezien heb.

Here are some frames from the original contact sheet of the Harry Potter trio outside of Christ Church in Oxford, 2001. Taken for Sunday Times Magazine, the first time the trio were photographed together

Updated(4): Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson reunite for Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts
There were already rumours, but Warner Bros. announced it today: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson reunite on 1st January 2022 for a retrospective special called Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts on HBO Max.

It drops at midnight on New Year's Day and will also debut on WarnerMedia’s TBS and Cartoon Network in spring 2022. International release info is coming soon for those where HBO Max is not yet available.

Update: 1st December 2021. First international release info: Sky and NOW (UK).
Update: 5th December 2021. Daniel announced the release on HBO Max (Brazil).
Update: 28th December 2021. Daniel announced the release on HBO Go (Asia).
Update: 1st February 2021. HBO Max (NL).

The Today Show has uploaded a clip from Daniel's 2001 appearance on the show while promoting Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The interview took place 20 years ago today.It's the best (and longest) footage we have seen since then.

Daniel explains how he got discovered because of his performance as David in David Copperfield, what he thinks is great about the Harry Potter books and more.

The New York Times: 20 years of Harry Potter
20 years later: In separate interviews with The New York Times, Daniel Radcliffe and director Chris Columbus recalled what it took to shoot four key scenes of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Daniel's (video) interview took place in October in New York.

About no longer being embarrassed by some of the scenes the way he was in his late teens: “Now I’m able to look back and go, ‘OK, you were a kid, it’s fine,’” he said, laughing. “It’s still a lovely memory.”

Great news! Series 4 is coming up for Miracle Workers in 2022.

This is all the information so far, from the TBS press release:

Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi are back for a fourth installment of “Miracle Workers.” Each season, the anthology comedy series features the same all-star cast playing new roles in a new setting – from angels in Heaven, to peasants in the Dark Ages, to settlers in the Old West. Where will the new season take them? You’ll have to watch to find out!

“Miracle Workers” is Cable’s #1 sitcom of 2021, reaching 18 million viewers to date. “Miracle Workers” was created by Simon Rich. The series is executive produced by Lorne Michaels. Dan Mirk and Robert Padnick serve as showrunners and are executive producers alongside Andrew Singer and Katy Jenson of Michaels’ Broadway Video, Simon Rich, Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi.
