Updated: Daniel Radcliffe will appear on BBC's Who Do You Think You Are?

Yes it is true! Daniel signed up for the new series of BBC's Who Do You Think You Are? according to The Sun. Back in May I discovered a photo taken at the Belfast Public Records office and I shared it on this site's Facebook page. No word yet on when the new series will air.The series will air later this year on BBC One.

Update: 10th July 2019. Daniel's episode airs 22nd July.

The new line-up for Who Do You Think You Are? series 16 has been announced by the BBC. Last week The Sun already revealed that Daniel is one of the well-known names (Kate Winslet, Sharon Osbourne and Naomie Harris to name a few). WDYTYA? airs on BBC One later this year #WDYTYA

As part of Daniel’s journey through the history books, I’m told he will explore the heartbreaking story of his great- great-uncle Ernie — one of four brothers who went off to fight in World War One.

A TV source said: When Daniel starred in TV drama My Boy Jack — one of his first major roles after Potter — his inspiration was his great-great-uncle Ernie, who lost his life in World War One. As Daniel investigates exactly what happened to Ernie during the war, he discovers an extraordinary and moving cache of letters Ernie wrote home.

“He pieces together the heartbreaking story of how Ernie fought alongside his  three brothers and how all  of them, except for Ernie,  survived.”
