Jungle: UK DVD & Blu-ray artwork
I did already mention on Facebook that Jungle will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on 1st January 2018, courtesy of Signature Entertainment. Below you find the artwork. Special Features: Making of featurettes, cast & crew interviews.
It will arrive on digital platforms from 22nd December 2017.
Young Israeli Yossi Ghinsberg (Radcliffe) leaves a safe future behind to chase an improbable dream in the mysterious depths of the Amazon rainforest. When he and two fellow adventurers, Kevin Gale (Alex Russell; Chronicle, Unbroken) and Marcus Stamm (Joel Jackson; TV’s The Wrong Girl), meet the charismatic Karl Ruchprecter (Thomas Kretschmann (The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Central Intelligence) and follow him into the jungle, what begins as the realisation of a dream soon turns into a harrowing psychological fight for survival.
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter, Imperium) gives a mesmerising and transformative performance as Ghinsberg, with the physical and mental ravages the star and his real-life counterpart experienced visible for all to see. Radcliffe is joined by Thomas Kretschmann as the magnetic yet sinister Ruchprecter, and Greg McLean (Wolf Creek, Rogue) directs, ratcheting up the tension to nightmarish levels as the jungle starts to take a horrifying hold.
Based on Ghinsberg’s own book, ‘Jungle: A Harrowing True Story Of Survival’, Jungle delivers a Radcliffe we’ve never seen before and a thriller like no other, not to mention a stark warning as to what lies in the dark depths of the Amazon for anyone planning to go off the beaten path…

The Wall Street Journal: Daniel Radcliffe on his Harry Potter glasses, his favorite time killers and iPhone imperatives
The Wall Street Journal has put a new article online in which Daniel talks about his Harry Potter glasses, one of his favorite Podcasts, Fantasy Football, and more. The text is edited from an interview by Chris Kornelis.
On his Favorite Podcast
The “How Did This Get Made?” podcast is one of my favorite things to listen to. It’s three very, very funny people talking generally with other very funny people. It’s a dissection of crazy movies, not even necessarily bad ones—though a lot of them are bad movies. What I think I love about it is there’s a lot of respect in the way they talk about the film. They have an appreciation for the fact that getting any film made is basically a victory. They do make fun of them, obviously, but there’s a feeling of celebration about it, which is really lovely. Everyone should listen to it.
On Fantast Football
I’ve got all my fantasy football apps on my phone: NFL Fantasy Football and Yahoo Fantasy Football. And I’m on them fairly constantly. I was going to say from Thursday to Monday, but then I realized that it’s an all-week thing. I’m in two leagues. I know people who are in so many more than that, and I have no idea how they cope. The level of stress it brings into my life as it is…I don’t know how anyone could possibly deal with more than two leagues.

Daniel Radcliffe on Harry Potter Horcrux theory "I feel like that one ― that’s definitely a good one.”
During the press junket for Jungle The Huffington Post brought up this Harry Potter Horcrux theory which popped up online years ago and asked Daniel if it could explain why the Dursleys were so mean to Harry.
Here's what he said:
source: huffingtonpost.com
Here's what he said:
Oh OK, so it affects the behavior of people around it,” he said. “That’s interesting, yeah.”J.K. Rowling doesn’t mention if Harry being a Horcrux contributed to the Dursleys’ hatred, but has written about the Dursley’s dislike for Harry on pottermore.com.
Radcliffe continued, “Yeah, that’s definitely the first time I’ve heard that one. It’s definitely interesting because it sort of posits a world where these people only known to be a certain way. Actually if you remove him from the situation, [they] would have been quite a nice, friendly family.”
Having been there for Richard Griffiths’ (Vernon) and Fiona Shaw’s (Petunia) performances,” Radcliffe said, “I feel like it was more they just hated having this kid around.”
“But I think that’s definitely a cool theory,” he added. “Has anyone asked Jo Rowling what she thinks of that one yet? I feel like that one ― that’s definitely a good one.”
