The Fright Night Awards is a virtual awards show that was held throughout October in which America voted for their favorite frights in film, television and more to bring greater awareness to blood cancers and help survivors and their loved ones “bite back.”

Cancer Bites has enlisted the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) to help fuel its mission. As the nation's leading blood cancer patient advocacy organizations, LLS, LRF and MMRF will play an integral role in the campaign at every level: funding research to find effective new treatments and cures; connecting patients and their families to free educational information; and providing support services for patients at every stage of their cancer journey. The awareness campaign will encourage the public to support their efforts to beat cancer.
To provide every child that is diagnosed and undergoing treatment for cancer or receiving chemotherapy to treat other life threatening illnesses a cap autographed by the celebrity of their choice.
To a child who has lost their hair due to the chemotherapy treatments, the caps help them establish a special bond with their caregiver/physician and their celebrity hero. We have found that many of the children garner strength from the autographed caps, and they feel as though their celebrity hero is right there with them fighting the battle against their illness.

Radcliffe describes his new role [in Horns] as “deeply emotional and also incredibly outrageous in some ways.” How outrageous? Well, let’s just say the 11-year-old Daniel Radcliffe we met in Harry Potter is nowhere to be found. In his place, we have Ig, who is accused of the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend before waking up and to find horns that come with a wildly tempting power trip — he can induce people to tell the truth or compel them to give into their ugliest inner urges. Says Radcliffe, “To play somebody who, in the midst of a time in his life of great turmoil anyway, undergoes this horrific transformation into a devil character — it was very, very exciting.”
Last year over 88 celebrities took part In the Small Steps London Celebrity Shoe Auction where over £20,000 was raised for charity Small Steps Project and in turn provided thousands of shoes, clothes, food and aid to barefoot children scavenging for survival on landfill sites around the world.
