"I speak to Shaun Udal occasionally as I sort of got adopted by the Middlesex players after I went to Twenty20 finals day last year when they won it, even though I support Durham because of Colly. But Test cricket is like a play in five acts - I prefer it to Twenty20"

Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Felton, and Matthew Lewis (amongst others) participated in a charity cricket match today at Ealing Cricket Club in London to support David Holmes, stunt double in the Harry Potter films, who was paralysed after an accident on the set of Deathly Hallows earlier this year.

Matt updated his Twitter and announced that over £10,000 was raised for charitable causes. He also noted that his team defeated Team Slytherin (Tom Felton's) by four wickets and won the David Holmes Cricket Cup. The cast were wearing Harry Potter themed shirts.

There had been a press release from The Trevor Project, America's leading national organisation focussed on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gax bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

Daniel became a financial supporter and joined its Circle of Hope, a “community of major donors” to the organization by giving a "major donation".

I deeply hope my support can raise the organization's visibility so even more despondent youth become aware of The Trevor Helpline's highly trained counselors and Trevor's many other resources. It's vitally important that young people understand they are not alone and, perhaps even more important, that their young lives have real value.”
